2021 Girls Fall League Registration {WRONG}

FALL LEAGUE REGISTRATION IS NOW.

Capital City Juniors (CCJ) will offer one indoor leagues for girls at the Capital City Sportsplex (CCSP). This year’s fall league is for girls ages 8-12. The league will focus on teaching the basic fundamentals of volleyball and applying them to a competitive environment during league play. The most important portion of the Fall League is the practice time with the CCJ coaches. THIS SEASON TEAMS WILL BE CAPPED AT 11 PLAYERS with a maximum of 20 teams.

When registering, please be sure to select the Fall League program that matches your child's age according to USAV (age on August 31, 2021) and select the correct birth year.

PRACTICES
Each team will practice at the CCSP two times before the first league playdate. After the first playdate, teams will have one-hour practices once a week. Practices are held on weeknights from either 5:30 to 6:30pm or 7:00pm to 8:00pm; practice times will be scheduled depending on court availability. Practices will begin the week of August 24th (Tuesday). Your first two practices will be assigned by the club, but you may request a practice day as a team for the remainder of the fall season. Practices may fall on any day of the week (Mon-Fri between the hours of 5:30pm (earliest start) and 8:00pm (latest ending). Teams that finish at 6:30 will be asked to leave immediately afterwards. The 7:00pm practice slot should not be coming in until 6:45pm at the earliest. Coaches will need time to clean the balls and other equipment in between practices.

PLAY DATES
This year, we are having to split up play times and practices as much as possible. We will have games on either Friday evenings from 5:30pm-8:30pm or on Saturday mornings from 9:30am-12:30pm. Fans are asked to social distance as much as possible while in the building. Play dates will begin on Friday September 10th and/or Saturday September 11th and run for 5 weeks. The last weekend of games will be Friday October 8th and/or Saturday October 9th.

COACHES
CCJ will provide experienced coaches to assist with running weekly practices and the games. Each team should have a parent volunteer that is mainly just a team mom/dad for organizational purposes. Parents can request to help with their own daughter's team, but cannot request their coach otherwise.

COST
Registration: $250 from August 1st to August 30th (starting August 31st registration is $300). Payments can be made online (there will be a service charge added to on-line payments) or by cash or check to CCJ (please include the registrant's name in the memo). Players must be paid in full in order to participate in practices and/or games.

After August 30th, a $50 late fee will be added (total cost will be $300 then)

EQUIPMENT USED
12u volleyballs and 7’ net. Balls, courts, carts and other equipment are cleaned on a regular basis using CDC sanctioned materials.

CCJ t-shirts will be provided for each team; teams will be required to wear the CCJ shirts on playdates.
