It is our priority to ensure the safety and welfare of CCJ Volleyball. USA Volleyball eliminated the sanctioning for all USA Volleyball activities until May 22. This is a situation that we are monitoring and discussing hourly. We are committed to keeping you family informed, so this page will be updated frequently with details and answers as we have them. Below are some questions and answers as we try to address some immediate concerns.
Are practices canceled?
Currently all practices (including club, developmental, adult play, and school court rentals) through CCJ Volleyball have been canceled until further notice. USA Volleyball has eliminated the sanctioning of all USAV events including but not limited to events, practices, all private lessons or anything covered by USA Volleyball insurance.
We are exploring all options to getting in the gym and will update periodically as more information becomes available.
Which tournaments have been canceled or postponed?
Every tournament in April has been cancelled or postponed. Given the fluidity of the situation, the rescheduling of tournaments and extending of season cannot be determined at this point.
Should I cancel my travel plans?
Hotels purchased for an out of state tournament in April should be cancelled.
Will the season continue and tournaments be rescheduled?
It is our full intention to return to the season if at all possible. The positive signs of this are that many of the major tournaments around the country are rescheduling their events in May and June.
In a best case scenario, we are back in the gym at some capacity in the next month or so. Once we get a better grasp on the situation both nationally and in the volleyball world, we’ll communicate with you on a team by team basis. Until then, nothing is set in stone.
Will I receive a refund?
As mentioned, this is a fluid situation and we are monitoring updates and receiving information daily on tournament cancellation and potential recourse. As such, CCJ leadership is taking every applicable measure to protect our members well-being, and to care for the ongoing financial needs of our vendors, coaches, and staff.
